InStyler Burn ??????????????????????????????…

Today, I just received my In-Styler from Tre Milano cause I ordered it from thier website a week or so ago. Today, I just used it and I watched the DVD while I was doing my hair also before and everything because I wanted to make sure I didn't burn myself because there is nothing to protect your skin from the heated barrel . I was doing my side bang to be extra careful because it's so close to my skin . Then the barrel rubbed up on my skin and took my skin clean off !! I mean it was off !! The white part of my skin was showing and lots of blood came !! Has anyone ever gotten that from this ? My mom has it patched up . When she saw what happened and examined how hot the iron was, she called the Tre Milano company and spoke to the manager about instantly getting a refund and she explained my burn . Then I think he told her there was nothing that he could do about it and that he was sorry for my injury . She was livid. Now, she is thinking about getting her lawyer involved and is suing them for fraud . Has anyone else had to do this ? Better yet, has anyone else had severe burns from the InStyler ?
