Sensitive or over Empathetic?

I am so Empathetic with people i am beginning to think there is a problem. If somone is having a bad day i can sense it or if i see something even a little sad i will start weeping i have had a really tough life and know what its like to have bad years. My whole life i have identified with others pain in life even on TV i just get so overwhelmed by emotion when others hurt i can feel it so hard. What is this Called and does other people feel this way
