Should i join the united states air force?

i am an 18 yr old...trying to make it out here in the world by myself. but i am currently broke and dont really have many options. currently i've been crashing at a friends house that i graduated with. and i dont want to be a moocher...and i dont want to work at mcd's for the rest of my life...so what's a girl to do?? my father is in prison and i dont speak to my mother anymore....so again...i need some advice...i dont want to be put in combat...and i was told that if i join the air force im less likely to be in the middle of combat...they'll pay for my college..ill be working on salary...and i'll even loose a bit of wieght...so should i join the united states air force???
