What is ACS religion? Is it a religion? Help!?

A family member of my husband's just ped away. They told us they are having a gathering rather than a religious funeral, because he was ACS... I don't have a clue what that is, and don't want to say or do anything inappropriate at this "gathering". Can someone please tell me what ACS is?
