How do I get over a cold fast?

I've had a cold for about 3 days and I feel like hell. I'm going to a Gavin DeGraw concert tomorrow that I've been looking forward to for a very long time and I would like to feel at least a little bit better for it. I'm not too keen on crazy home concoctions so if anyone has any other ways besides them to get rid of this damn cold please let me know! Thank you.
