Does Oriental refer to only East Asian or can it refer to Southeast Asian?

Oriental refers to the whole lot. So Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, Filipinos, Thais, Indonesians, Malaysians, Singaporeans, Taiwanese, Burmese, Vietnamese, Cambodians, Laotians are all orientals.
