If my cpu is fried can that be the cause for why my computer will not to boot?

I had this a while back. Your computer crashed. Do you have a disk for your OS? There is a recovery utility on it. Start up to where it stops then install the disk and shut it down with the computer. Start it back up, the disk should boot, you will want to choose recovery here. Follow the instructions and you should be set. Hope it helps.
